The Molee Shakes

Norwich duo The Molee Shakes offers up a fine blend of country, blues and garage rock that’ll tug on yourheart strings. Formed of Morwenna Farrell (vocals, guitar, percussion) and Lee Dickerson (slide guitar,resonator), the pair take inspiration from Hermanos Gutiérrez and Orville Peck alongside the atmospheric sound of Portishead and solemnity of Mazzy Star. What started off as a basement jam between two pals, quickly developed into a unique melancholy cowgirl sound. Add to that heartfelt story telling and eerie slide guitar and you’ll fast realise this is an act you won’t want to miss. Currently working on their debut album, which is due out later in the year, The Molee Shakes promise totransport audiences to a haunting world of space age sounds and ardent spaghetti westerns that’ll have you tappping and humming along long after listening.
