Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best

Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best

‘What do you get when you have an Englishman from Birmingham, UK, playing the sort of vintage two-steppin' tunes that country's founding fathers would be proud of? The unique and intriguing sound of Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best.’ – (Holler.)

Dom Glynn has spent his twenties making a living playing music in bars around London.  How did he begin playing old-school country music when he’s never been to America? Maybe the ghosts of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash are moving him in ways we don’t fully understand.  Whatever the reason, he’s very good at it.

Since the formation of Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best in 2023, they have been playing live constantly.  Their show on the first Friday of every month at The Dukes of Highgate is a hugely popular spectacle and the night to make for Honky Tonk fans in London.  In their first year they hit the festival circuit immediately, playing Ramblin Roots, Maverick and Black Deer.

They record live straight to tape in an analogue studio with vintage microphones from the 1940s and have released 4 singles (‘Time Would Slow Down’, ‘Singing to Survive’, ‘Do It All Again’ and ‘Jimmy’s Queen’) from their upcoming album, due for release later this year.
